  11. 1) MANUAL ON DISK:

  13.     Included in the Calendar directory, on your
  14. hard disk is a User Manual, MANUAL.WRI. This can
  15. be read using Windows Write word processor.
  16.     A copy of THIS file will also be placed
  17. in the Calendar directory, as README.TXT.

  21. 2) OPTIMISING:
  22. ===========
  23.  a) Windows 3.1
  24.    ==========
  25. You should ensure that your AUTOEXEC.BAT
  26. file includes the following line :-
  27.  
  28.    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHARE.EXE /L:500
  29.  
  30. If the line exists, just make sure that the L:
  31. value is AT LEAST 500. Use Notepad to edit
  32. AUTOEXEC.BAT, and make a backup of the file
  33. first ! Have a bootable floppy diskette ready,
  34. in case you made a mistake. Go to section 3).

  36.  b) Windows for Workgroups
  37.    ===================

  40.  c) Windows 95

  42. Copy all the files in the CD-ROM \WIN_95 dir-
  43. ectory to your hard disk Windows system directory
  44. (usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM). Go to section 3).

  48. Copy all the files in the CD-ROM \WIN_NT dir-
  49. ectory to your hard disk Windows system directory
  50. (usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM).

  54. 3) USING 24-bit IMAGES:
  55. =====================
  56.     If you have a display card capable of 24-bit col-
  57. our images (sometimes referred to as 16-million colour,
  58. or "True Colour"), and you are running Windows(TM) in
  59. 24-bit colour mode, you might prefer to enjoy full, vib-
  60. rant photo-realistic images ! These images are stored as
  61. LARGE files and make heavy demands on your PC. ONLY
  62. USE THEM IF YOU ARE SURE YOUR SYSTEM IS CAPABLE.

  64.     IF YOU HAVE DECIDED YOU DO WISH TO
  65. INSTALL 24-bit IMAGES, PLEASE READ THE REST
  66. OF THIS FILE; CLICK THE CONTINUE BUTTON;
  67. AND SELECT CANCEL AT THE NEXT SCREEN AND
  68. QUIT THE INSTALLATION. TO INSTALL WITH 24-bit
